About

Created in December 2000, CRG’s mission is to discover and advance knowledge for the benefit of society, public health and economic prosperity. The CRG believes the future of medicine depends on the groundbreaking science of today. An interdisciplinary scientific team offers an integrated view of genetic diseases — Understanding the complexity of life from the genome to the cell to a whole organism and its interaction with the environment.

The CRG is a non-profit foundation. It is funded by the Catalan Government through the Departments of Economy & Knowledge and Health, the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, and the «la Caixa» Banking Foundation, along with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University.
